Answers to questions on carbon wheels and accessories CORIMA

I have a CORIMA wheel built with a Shimano cassette body (or Campagnolo or Sram), can I change the cassette body by a Campagnolo one (or Shimano or Sram)?

]Yes, it’s possible and very easy.

You need to order the complete cassette body (reference T400141, T400187 or T400188 or the references T400197, T400198 or T400199 for the MCC wheels).

To remove the complete cassette body from the hub,  you need to remove the screw on the axle (derailleur side), remove the cassette body you wish to change, set up the new cassette body making sure that you correctly set the 3 pawls, then screw again the screw on the axle using a normal flat key. It’s necessary to put some grease on the pawls holder that goes inside the hub.

Important: The Shimano 10 speed cassette bodies have deeper teeth (ref: T400187 and T400197) and only accept Shimano 10 speed pinions (latest generation). 4 Spoke carbon wheels made before 1993 and built with steel Shimano cassette bodies can’t be modified. AERO carbon wheels (2000 version) with spokes crossed by 3 on the opposite side of the cassette can’t be modified either.
