Is braking efficient on carbon rims?
Some rubber brake pads don’t work well and some others can sometimes damage the carbon rims. Most of the time, rubber brake pads don’t last long and leave rubber marks on the rims which makes the braking difficult.
Specific brake pads for carbon rims made by CORIMA through a Brite-Euram Research Program give good results on wet and dry surfaces and last much longer.
If you’re using CORIMA brake pads and that you sometimes change wheels, it is not necessary to change the brake pads, it’s also possible to brake on aluminum surfaces with CORIMA pads.
