Carbon wheel 50G50MM | 28" tubeless hookless

An aerodynamic gravel wheelset designed for competitive racing.
Specifically engineered for gravel riding, it combines speed, stability, and overall performance for cyclists who want to dominate gravel races.

If in doubt, please consult the cassette body compatibility chart.

Description

With gravel evolving toward more structured, faster, and increasingly competitive events, riders now require equipment as high‑performing as what is used on the road. Average speeds routinely exceed 30 km/h, creating new demands for aerodynamic efficiency, stiffness, stability, and durability.

It is to meet these requirements that Corima introduces the 50G, a gravel wheelset fully designed for racing.

The 50G brings premium aerodynamic carbon performance to the world of competitive gravel. With a 50 mm rim height and a weight of just 1550 g, it delivers speed on fast sections, stability in technical areas, and the robustness needed to handle the demanding terrain of modern gravel riding.

Mandatory conditions of use for gravel tubeless wheels

Tires compatibility

  • It is the user’s responsibility to check that the selected tire model is compatible with hookless rims (refer to tire manufacturer’s specifications). Inner tubes may be used however the tire must feature tubeless beads to ensure it remains seated.
  • Tubeless straight side wheels with 27 mm inner width (27TSS) must be used with Hookless compatible tubeless ready tires with a width between 35 mm and 60 mm (ISO 5775).
  • The maximum inflation pressure is 4 bar (58 psi) for a 35mm tire.

Tips and restrictions

Running tubeless tires requires specific care when it comes to installation and maintenance.

  • Use only plastic tire levers
  • When installing the tire, 2 layers of 0.1mm thick rim tape must be installed against the inner rim bed to ensure an airtight seal. (FTUB27-10 de Velox)
  • CO2 cartridges, high flow pumps and compressors MUST Not be used to inflate TSS tubless tires on the Essentia wheels.
FAQ

A rim profile designed for speed.

With its 50 mm rim height, the 50G delivers a clear aerodynamic advantage as speeds increase, especially in today’s gravel races where average speeds regularly exceed 30 km/h.

Its hookless rim, featuring a 27 mm internal width (27TSS) and a 32 mm external width, provides stable and efficient support. It is optimized for tyres of at least 35 mm, with an ideal range between 40 and 45 mm for maximum grip and rolling performance.

A race‑ready hub that never compromises on reliability.

The Corima ratchet hub features premium 6903 bearings for long‑lasting smoothness, a 36‑tooth engagement system for immediate response, and R2 lacing paired with 24 Sapim CX‑Ray spokes, ensuring controlled stiffness and long‑term stability.

A lightweight and robust wheel.

Weighing just 1550 g per pair, the 50G’s premium carbon composition offers the ideal balance between low weight and strength. This combination delivers sharper accelerations, a steadier pace, and greater endurance over long distances, with a remarkable strength‑to‑weight ratio for a gravel‑dedicated wheel.

How we made it

Global approach

Since we entered the bicycle industry in 1988, CORIMA has always been at the forefront of carbon wheel design technology. With our own patents and unique design philosophy, we are constantly innovating and improving our wheels to stay one step ahead of the competition and give you even more performance.
Our philosophy has always been to design the best performing wheels with a global approach. This includes lightness and reliability, of course, but also essential performance factors such as stiffness, aerodynamics and rotational inertia.

Designed and produced in Loriol-sur-Drôme

When our engineers imagine a new product, they simultaneously think about the industrialization process of this one. Indeed, thanks to our history and our industrial origins, we design all the manufacturing means that will be used in the realization of your wheels (special machines, molds, tools) as well as the test benches necessary for the improvement and the validation. This global control of the design and the means of production assures our customers of the required performances and an exceptional quality-price ratio.

Validated by the greatest champions

Our partnerships with French and international professional athletes and synergies with continental and national teams enable us to test and optimise our products. Beyond our partnerships, many athletes choose to compete with our products. This is a testament to their quality and reliability in meeting the demands of high-level competition.
