    Tires compatibility

    • It is the user’s responsibility to check that the selected tire model is compatible with hookless rims (refer to tire manufacturer’s specifications). Inner tubes may be used however the tire must feature tubeless beads to ensure it remains seated.
    • Tubeless straight side (TSS) wheels must be used with Hookless compatible tubeless ready tires with width between 25mm and 32 mm (ISO 5775).
    • The maximum inflation pressure is 5 bar (72 psi) for a 25mm tire or 4.7 bar (68 psi) for a 28mm.
    • It is possible to use a tire starting at 25mm with width with an internal width of 21mm
    • It is possible to use a tire starting at 25mm with width with an internal width of 23mm

    Tips and restrictions

Running tubeless tires requires specific care when it comes to installation and maintenance.

    • Use only plastic tire levers
    • When installing the tire, 2 layers of 0.1mm thick rim tape must be installed against the inner rim bed to ensure an airtight seal. (FTUB27-10 de Velox)
    • CO2 cartridges, high flow pumps and compressors MUST Not be used to inflate TSS tubless tires on the Essentia wheels.
    FAQ

    Made in France

CORIMA’s expertise and innovation in carbon composite materials are recognized globally. We’ve been manufacturing high performance carbon wheels for more than 30 years. Because of in-house production we control all the steps in the manufacturing process ; from the design to the final assembly and packaging.

Our wheels are individually moulded by hand using prepreg carbon fibers, entirely hand-made in our workshop in LORIOL sur DRÔME, FRANCE.

    Tubeless ready

The G30.5 wheels use a hookless, TSS (Tubeless Straight Side) rim profile with an internal width of 22 mm. The TSS profile has been reinforced with additional material to resist damage from impacts. To ensure proper seating between the rim and tubeless ready tires, they have been designed to strictly adhere to the ETRTO standards. This allows for easy tire setting and inflation with no risk of the tire coming off.

G30.5 rims are compatible with tires ranging from 28 mm to 60 mm in width.

    • Maximum tire pressure for G30.5 TLR rims : 5 bar (72.5 PSI) or the maximum pressure stated on the tire if it is lower.
    • The straight sides are thick to resist to impacts.
    • Compatible with inner tubes in case of ampuncture.

The rim is produced with a patented system by CORIMA called INTERNAL FOAM CORE OVERPRESSURE PROTECTION SYSTEM. In the case that air leaks around the valve core or rim tape during initial setup, this system allows air to be released through a check valve to avoid over pressurizing the rim.

In the meantime the sealant liquid is being effective, the internal airleaks are forwarded and put out of the rim via a silicone check valve. With this system there is no overpressure possible and mechanical over-constraints in the rim’s structure (exploding risk).

Light and reliable 1,550 g per set

Reliability is further enhanced by the use of 24 stainless steel spokes for each wheel and with external spoke nipples for easy adjustment and maintenance. The wheels are built with DT Swiss 240 hubs featuring the new EXP freehub body and provides ultrasmooth and reliable performance.

Despite the sturdy design, the G30.5 wheels weigh just 1,550 g a pair ( 725 g FR / 825 g RR ), including tubeless rim tape and valve.

    Torsion box technology

CORIMA ’s secret behind its incredible stiffness : weight ratio is hidden in the rim structure.

All CORIMA wheels are filled with a structural foam and a horizontal UD carbon fiber bar to increase overall rigidity and strength. The Torsion Box concept created and patented by CORIMA in the 90’s, significantly reduces the flex found in ALL hollow carbon rims. This stiffness allows for enhanced power transfer in the most direct way possible to the ground, to push the bike forward. Because of this internal structure, the wheel is able to keep its trueness better under load. This core also helps to absorb both vibrations and sound for a quiet and more comfortable ride.

Each CORIMA wheel is done by hand which makes them unique.
